Try the classified section. This is a gassing forum.

However, if you see one, feel free to ask for advice about it on here.

I tried the classified section could not find what I wanted, tried putting a wanted advert in classifieds, no response, put wanted ad on the forum and got one reply which was from the person who used to own my car. Summary the forum works best.

A man of few words, I see.

Have you tried joining the club? There's quite a few ads in the magazine each month. Alternatively, Rob Inglewood might be you man.

FWIW, I wouldn't tell you on this thread if I was selling because your post makes you appear a little arrogant. I suggests to me that you feel that all owners should be falling over each other to receive your precious pennies. I'm sure that bears no relationship to the real you, but that's what I read.

There's 110 cars advertised in Classified and you couldn't find what you wanted.

Interestingly enough (or not.....) if you click on the link that Nige included, it takes you to web page called "Robs Sports Cars", so this Rob Inglewood must be in the business as well, coincidence is a funny thing.

There is also that James Aggadoo.......

V8 ARCHIE

try takin another "calmer" mate. i meant no arrogance whatsoever.the reason i posted on here was that i have tried the classifieds, also auto trader ,top marque etc.ive also travelled just about the length of the country looking at bags of cr@p.reading the posts on here made me realise you lot seem to have a bit more respect for your cars than most, and just maybe some1 might be thinking of selling.

by the way ive had 8 emails so far with people who have not yet advertised.the only reason i mentioned "cash waiting" was to show that im a genuine buyer.

I see your point wacjak, but V8 ARCHIE has a point too,

(this IS a forum, and the selling/buying thing has its place, just look at the Griff forum which has almost been taken over by some guy who like yourself cant seem to find his nervana Griff)

the chances are that the next 30 cars you see might also be dogs, at 12k your at the bottom of the barrel mate, buy the best you can on your budget and like most guys/gals on here spend the next few years getting it into shape.

The most important thing you should be looking for is mechanical fitness, the bodywork is a doddle to put right and a colour change is a matter of saying so.

Looking for perfection in your first buy is what everyone wants,12k isnt going to buy you a new factory build.

however, best of luck in your search and I hope you find a car close to the sort of condition your expecting.

regards
h

Yeah, understand your thoughts and that you've been here, there and everywhere looking, but have a bit of passion, man!

This ain't a loaf of bread you're buying, this is a TVR!!

like i said before , what colour ,and engine size are you after and i dont see what the prob is by asking on here as you can see there aint many chims advertised on here for 12k and below and you may just get somone on here to part with thier chim if they are just thinking of upgrading to some thing else and want to get a better price than a dealer will give them in part ex , like i am thinking of selling mine as i want a wedge , yes not really an upgrade but i just want one .

I shouldn't tell you about this one really (because I know this car and think it's too cheap! And I told the owner this too - it's devaluing the marque!

See here www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.asp?i=15521&s=1

I would say the EXACT opposite!

£12k should get a decent 4.0 Chim.

Consider mine to be good value at £12.5k. Seems that if it's used every day and therefore reliable then no one wants it 'cos of the mileage on the clock. remember some of the low mileage ones may be neglected, been left in a lock up for long periods, or even dare I say it, had a new clock, then.....

Cut the guy a bit of slack, he's obviously trying his hardest to become a TVR owner and thought he would try this forum for a bit of help........which correct me if i'm wrong is what these forums are all about.
