I've just bought my daughter an HTC Wildfire and I'm trying to download some apps from Android Market onto it. Because it's a surprise I haven't got her SIM card in it yet so I'm using Wi-Fi for the downloads.
The problem is that when I go to Downloads on the phone all of the apps I selected are there and say "Starting download" but the progress bar isn't going up - i.e. nothing is actually downloading. I've set up the Google account it asks for.
Any idea where I've gone wrong or will it only download via the SIM card?

Sorted it. For future reference I had to put a SIM card in, connect, remove the card and then it did it via Wi-Fi.
