The SLK Black was not officially sold in the UK so you will struggle to find one...

I have heard both figures of 19 and 29 mentioned as the number of CLK Blacks sold in the UK. Either way it is a rare car. They seem to have passed from the "latest must have" owners to those who collect or at least hold for the longer term. I'm sure future prices will reflect this shift.

I saw one SLK Black Series in the Merc Network the year they were released - I guess it was the press demonstrator, which did "the rounds".

Maybe try Hong Kong (albeit for a hell of taxation premium). There was one for sale HERE until recently.

Shame about the CLK Black, It is the most likely candidate for my next car.

Wow that looks gorgeous.

Sold!

The only thing is, would be as quick as my 993 Turbo..
It's a very different ride!! The noise is awesome!!!

Sometimes a quick blast through the Heathrow Airport Central Area tunnel is needed so all can appreciate the sound

There was a UK plate SLK Black at Southampton Mercedes (beside the airport) last month. Was parked up in the service car park and looked stunning. Colour was grey with black wheels that filled those massive arches just nicely.

The SLK Black was definitely brought to the UK as MBUK had one in their exotic demonstrator fleet when I worked there.

Clarkson also made reference to it in his Times article on the CLK Black.

But the chap at Mercedes said straight away: “Ooh, the SLK Black. No. I don’t think you’d like it very much.” And put the phone down.
