Ok.... I've been reading all the threads about wheels and tyres and interested in any comments on my thoughts.

Need new rear tyres so started thinking about upgrading at the same time. I've looked through all the links and I'm still not sure about the TVR 16" Spider upgrade. I think if the rears were 17" I may like the look more but not sure if the Spider comes in 17".

Looked at www.elitedirect.com and found some piccies of a Chim and Griff with 18" wheels and tyres. Anyone on here own these cars?

I read a lot about suspension being setup for the tyre size and this leads me to think that 18's would be too extreme for a car not designed to have them.

My thoughts...... 17" rears and 16" fronts running SO3's as I believe these have a softer side wall so could maybe handle going up in size without loosing my fillings!

Any comments? Any experience? Am I talking out of my ??

I believe SO3s actually have a stiffer sidewall when compared to the SO2 pp or Toyo. Incidentally I run 18" rears and have no problems but then the Griffith is considered a harder car Rich...

Very interested. What does it ride/drive/handle like?

Do you agree with all this talk about not fitting such large wheels to a car not designed to take them?

If you don't mind me asking... What did they cost, wheels and tyres?

What do you run at the front?

What tyres do you use?

Whats the ride like? I assume the suspension set-ups are different Chim to Griff??

D'oh! Slow on the uptake tonight

I read your site when I was reading up on this subject. I love the look of your wheels but a quick serach on the WWW didn't seem to find results of anyone selling them. Are they still available?

So I guess you are happy with the ride then?

No they are not available, they were the style fitted to the Cerbera 4.5 and the very early Tuscans before the Spiders. raceline were acquired by Speedline and there have been numerous stories about them being re-made but so far nothing. Oh and yes I'm delighted with the ride, no problems. Rich...

There are some Tuscan 16's advertised on Ebay at the moment (and being talked about on the Cerbera board).
