I've got a spare bed (bunk bed) and I can supply all the beer (and wine) you can drink. We can go watch Westlife on Friday at the races and in the morning go watch the race horses on the heath. Then how about a nice romantic candle lit dinner in my garden?

Strattons hotel in Swaffham in Norfolk.
Beautiful quiet location in an old country house, the food is divine, and there is plenty to do around and about if you want to go out.
Highly recommended

Home rather than abroad, I like the sound of the Highlands, we went a couple of times last year and it was very good.
Just checking out that link to Suffolk
Suffolk (Aldeburgh) is lovely. Just go out of the school holidays to avoid Tarquin and Jocasta and their insufferable brats.Home rather than abroad, I like the sound of the Highlands, we went a couple of times last year and it was very good.

I don't mind nice children anyway, I'm just glad to be getting away without our own !
The wife found that hotel website, many thanks, it looks lovely, but a tad out of our price range, we're more in the "sun newspaper £10 holiday" bracket lol.

There is a castle in Bath which is somewhat romantic, and when we were there you could also go clay shooting in the grounds on the Sunday morning..Home rather than abroad, I like the sound of the Highlands, we went a couple of times last year and it was very good.
