Today on my travels I saw a Yellow Sign which said "no access to Burn Dick Hill".

Now I thought historically places were named after events etc, so I assume a few hundred years ago someone in Boxsted Essex had a bit of a disaster with a nude BBQ.............

What funny place names have you driven past?

The drive down to Goodwood involves going through Cocking.

Hatfield Peverel used to tickle me for some reason (a mate used to fall asleep on his train, miss his stop and always wake up at Hatfield Peverel in the dead of night).

I have a childish chuckle every time we drive through the village of "Poo" in Northern Spain.

Throcking always makes me chuckle.

Probably because of the "Meaning of Liff". As do Corriearklet, Corriecravie, Corriedoo, Corriemoillie, Corriemuchloch and Corrievorrie

There's a village in Wales called Pant.

Whenever me and the wife drive past the sign, we both make panting sounds and chuckle to ourselves. We are so funny, it hurts.
