Thinking of getting one of these and wondered if anyone had experience with one. Fancy the d90 but it's a bit out of my reach, pricewise. Not really bothered about taking moving pictures, just stills.

I have a friend who shoots with a a d80 and finds it great. I can't comment much more as I use a Canon 450d :P.

Hey RFC,

I've just been looking at my D80 sitting in my bag and wondering if I should sell her...

I upgraded to a d300s this spring, but couldn't bring myself to part with the D80. I still think I've taken my best with this body. Nice and compact - full featured and great build quality.

Would be looking for £260 for the body if you're interested. (manual, battery and charger included)

It's in great nick - the only sign of wear being a slight mark on the shutter release button.

Craig.

Recommended, great camera! I had a D80 for two years before moving up to a D300. Sold the D80 on ebay.

D80 for 3 years and counting. Excellent quality, never missed a beat and it's been all round the world with me. Buying one now 2nd hand should be a positive bargain.

I had a D80 for several years, highly recommended. Very nice kit. You won't be disappointed.

I've got one. Love it but am only a relative beginner (see post on recent snap C&C). Was a really good step up from the compact I had previously. Bird shot taken with standard kit zoom 18-135. thumbup

Another D80 here.

Only downfall is noise as its the older style sensor, so above ISO800 can be a little noisy, but having just discovered the "magic" of Lightroom 3 noise handling I am now happy once again ....

PS in case your wondering I generally hate indoor flash at wedding etc so like to shoot high ISO and f2.8 so this is actually quite an issue for me biggrin
