Picture rotation, Sony A330

The girlfiend's got a Sony A330 which seems to be inteligent enough to spot when you've held the camera sideways to take a shot as it will rotate the picture when you play it back on the screen, however we can't see any flag in the properties of the picture to tell which way it was taken when the photo has been copied on to the PC. Anyone know if it'sd possible to tell? Obviously in a lot of cases it's bloody obvious which way round it was, but we've got a few shots we can't work out.
