I'm meeting someone for dinner next week. She said that she'll meet me outside the "Old Town Hall".

All that I know about St. Albans is that the traffic lights in the centre of town are a pain. My little Hawk doesn't like sitting in a queue there during the summer. She and I get a little too hot waiting for the bloody things to change. smile

Could someone please give me the heads up on parking in the town centre? How's the parking around the Town Hall on a weekday night? Any suggestions where I could leave the car within easy walking distance of there?

Thanks.

I live on Lattimore Road, 2 minutes from town hall / center, in our road and all the surrounding roads you can park in the evening, no restrictions then walk along..

I use the NCP on Russell Avenue for evening parking.

Oh and it's free after 6:30pm.

I use the car park or the on road parking on Bricket Road (behind the Alban Arena) which is also free of an evening and only two minute walk to the town hall.

The lower level of the car park can often be quite full of an evening but the first floor is usually empty.
