Well it seems the reformed Soundgarden have finally released something... Black Rain from the forthcoming Telephantasm album (due 27/28 September). Must admit having listened to it, I felt like a teenager again hehe and there's no doubting it was originally from the Badmotorfinger days.

Whilst somewhat disappointed that the forthcoming album is essentially a greatest hits effort (sorry, "career retrospective") it's impressive that Cornell can still hit those notes. Fingers crossed they do some UK dates next year...

Have they remastered any of it, though? Damned if i'm re-buying all those tracks again just to hear one new one.

And i'm sure they'll play the UK sooner or later; will see you at the front!

black hole sun is the only song I recognise, is this a significant gap in my musical appreciation.

How would they compare to legends such as Dylan, Stones, Bowie and Mel & Kim

Mind you, Mel & Kim are only half as heavy as they used to be....
