Need help finding an outfit for Goodwood Revival..
Discussion
Hi, I run www.vintagewhistles.co.uk and we specialize in vintage & classic menswear. We supply 100's of men with classic Goodwood Revival outfit each year. Currently we have over 150 Harris Tweed jackets available as well as tweed hats, caps & accessories. I will also be adding more tweed suits, breeks etc next week.
We also have a large range of vintage suits, so plenty of clothing for Goodwood.
We are a listed Goodwood Revival supplier on the Goodwood website.
Sorry I usualy say hi, but cant find your hello thread.
We have had a large selection of classic vintage cars, just sold our VW campervan which is pictured on the website and bought a 1946 MG Roadster.
We have had everything from classic fords, mini's, VW campervan and now the MG.... im sure it wont be the last I currently drive a white MX5, love it! Im new to the forum but hubby's never off it....

For the last two years I've got my outfits from http://www.sabresales.co.uk/ in Southsea - they rent or sell amazing military outfits and aren't very expensive at all.
Here was me last year... http://www.flickr.com/photos/cloudzilla/3936821337...

Nice outfit..... but what's it got to do with racing at Goodwood? Getting more like a fancy dress competition than a period recreation!!CivicMan said:

My criteria for choosing an outfit is "what would get me stopped by loads of ladies wanting their photograph taken with me" (-:
Hippycake - I won't be going for the first time in years - but I hope you have a great time and post photos of your outfit!
we are going with the 60's era this year as it also represents our cars so mini skirts / dresses with boots etc for the girlies and as for us we havnt got a clue at the moment, although I have just got hold of a blue teddy boy suit so need to find some brothel creepers or winkle pickers and jobs a good un..
charity shops are fantastic hunting grounds for this type of clothing.....

I will be going on the Saturday, but have only just got the ticket so have had no time to plan a decent outfit. Was a mod last year and a Rocker the year before (imagine doing that in 64!).
Currently I have long hair (usually in a ponytail) and a rough beard. I don't have a clue what to go as. I can shave the beard (moustache etc.) but nothing doing with the hair.
Any ideas? I don't think a Hippie is really appropriate.
