With many thanks to the fine chaps at the Battersea Pen Home, who held onto a replacement barrel whilst I ummed and aahed about whether my Duofold was a Centennial or an International (it's the latter), and who were nothing short of perfect both in terms of courtesy and delivery.

If you've got pen needs, I unreservedly recommend them.

Now, if only my handwriting could do this fine writing instrument the justice it deserves...

It is a shame I only use pens about once a day. Last time I filled up my Parker it dried up before I'd used much of the ink.

Forgot people talk about pens on here!

Just selling a 1970 Parker 50 Falcon - I would have asked on here first.

International is the smaller version, is it not?

Tossing mental coins for months over Centennial vs. Pelikan 800. Parker feels much nicer but Pelikan writes better 'out of the box'.

Next on the hitlist is a Pelikan Souveran 1000.

I don't have the courage of my convictions, which is why I only have the 800 on my shortlist...faced with both on the same shop counter, in the right colour, it might just be a different story, however.

I have massive paws, so big pens are an easy decision for me.

There is one of those antique centres near me in Sawbridgworth where people rent display cases, one of them is full of vintage Conway stewart pens, some 9c gold.
