I have had a Tag SLR watch for a couple of years now, about 6 months ago the button that controls the stopwatch began sticking, i.e. it would press in but not pop back out again. I sent the watch back to Tag for a warranty repair. About 10 weeks later I got it back. It worked fine for about a month, then the button started sticking again. I sent it off again. I got it back this morning and the button is still sticking. I am not happy about this at all, I payed around £2.5k for this watch and would expect better. Tomorrow I am going to phone them up and let them know it has still got the fault. I am concerned that this watch is perhaps a lemon and they are never going to be able to fix it. When I sent it to them last time, I sent a stern but polite letter asking them to make sure it was fully tested as I didnt want the same fault to re-occur. I am wondering what any of you would do in my situation?

Thanks

Disco You

I take it that each time it goes back you send it back via the dealer that you bought it from?

if so when you go into the dealer to have it sent back make sure the person you are dealing with knows that you are really unhappy and that it has occurred a few times.

I took my Omega back because when they had been doing warranty work on it, they left marks on the inside of the crystal. Normally their work takes 8 weeks, I had it back inside three, I assume because it was their fault and because I had expressed my displeasure (politely) to Goldsmiths where I bought it from.

I sent it back through another dealer in Southampton, I originally bought the watch in Kent. Bit too far to go.

The 2nd time I sent the watch was directly to TAG, they sent me a box and a special delivery bag to return it to them in. I am now wondering if I should try and get a replacement watch/refund. But I dont fancy my chances. I just dont want to be stuck having to send it back for repair once a month!
