You probably will get a few £ knocked off at a show, but Little Car's price is pretty competitive - there are not many retailers for H&S brushes. Its a good idea to get some airbrush cleaner and a quick release coupler as well if you haven't already got one

The Evo Solo is the same as the 2in1 but it comes with just one nozzle and one cup. A saving of about £30.

I bought my H&S Infinity 2&1 from Paul a show last year, at his quoted price.

He did throw in some cleaning brushs AB cleaner Vallejo and Prem Air.

The real advantage of this however is he will have several models which you can try before you buy.

Worth looking at the complete package deal (compressor, cleaner, facemask etc etc), a colleague bought one after I told him about Little Cars, and when it arrived, it all looked top notch stuff irrespective of the very reasonable price.

I use an airbrush already, so it is only the airbrush itself I want to upgrade.

Finally bit the bullet and splashed out on a decent airbrush - a Harder and Steenbeck Evolution Silverline.

I bought it from Little Cars at the Farnborough IPMS Modelfest last Saturday - £90 plus £10 for the adaptor to allow me tu use my old Badger airline.

Haven't done any painting with it yet as I have had no modelling time over the past week or so but I do know that I won't be able to blame my airbrush for poor painting anymore.

Anyone know what makes the Evolution Solo a step up from the Ultra, even though they use the same nozzles and needles?

Well done! I look forward to seeing how you get on with the new airbrush: my pal got one from Paul, and it looked and felt great. I bet you find it much better than your Chinese one.

Just ordered an airbrush holder/cleaning pot and some paint/plasticard from Paul at Little Cars. I buy most of my materials from him these days - he knows his stuff and has always been very helpful. His range of lead wire/plasticard etc etc for detail work is fantastic.

Yes, Paul was fantastic. When I bought the brush, I forgot entirely to ask him anout hoses etc. Consequently, when I got home I found that none of the hoses or attatchments fitted the new brush. A quick e-mail and phone call to Paul sorted this out with a Badger airline adaptor which arrived yesterday.

I can reccommend Vallejo Air for painting - Paul stocks the full range. It seems to spray very well, and without clogging or 'dusting'. Sometimes needs a drop of thinners (Vallejo or IPA). It's pretty good.

I currently use Hannants Xtracrylics and/or Tamiya. I keep looking at the Vallejo paints but have yet to buy. Have you tried any of the Lifecolor range?

No, but I do use the Xtracolour XD-FF flat varnish (on a reccommendation). It is by far the flattest varnish I've tried (Vallejo & Revell Aqua recently), and doesn't discolour the base pigment to a noticable degree. I was having real trouble with this - Revell usually turned everything milky, and Vallejo Matt often dried satin.

I use Tamiya colours too, but it's expensive.

Yes, they are all I use, and I swear by them. Fantastic paints, thin them with their own thinners or tapwater, both seem to be fine.
