yes I think it's bold, but I don't hate it. The i8 styling was best summed up by whoever said it looks like it's just driven straight off the set of Tron. smile

Looks awful in my opinion, it's going to look even worse in a few years.

Great deal if you own your own business though, company directors sports car of choice I reckon!

The uprated version, called i9 in most circles, will probably do that for real. wink

That was my man maths justification. I certainly don't think it looks awful, although I do accept it divides opinion, which is to be expected.
As you say, it makes great financial sense in certain circumstances, which just happen to be mine. When I did the maths on the tax paid money I was going to have to spend on the alternatives as a personal purchase, even though I wanted a used 12C, the BMW was a fraction of that price when bought as a company car. I expect to be upgrading it to the much hinted at i9 at the first opportunity, as long as they manage to pull off a similarly impressive set of emissions figures, to allow the existing company purchase financial benefits to remain in place.

Just spotted an i8 in Bowthorpe. Despite the fact it was black, my eyes were drawn to it - distinctive styling but still recognisable as a BMW. I was undecided over it's looks before, but now I've seen one in the metal, I like it.

The Tron reference made a few posts up is apt.

The front profile looks very much like a modern take on the M1.

I think my first 'sticker' spotted this morning - nice red Fiesta ST (with grey wheels & a private plate I think) on the Norwich ring road.
