After some scroates stole our bikes, I have a £1000 Halfords voucher to get a replacement Boardman MTB.

Question is, any news on the 2011 range? I know it's scheduled for late October just wondering what the specs and prices are. Should I get the 2010 model now or wait for the 2011 range?

Eiher going for the Team FS or Pro HT but undecided as yet, but it WILL be one of those two!

I suspect prices will go up so I'd go for the 2010

+1. A grand will buy you a decent HT but I personally go FS unless spending at least another £500

I hear there will be a Carbon Mountain Bike in the 2011 line up, not sure on its release, not was the bikehut manager when he looked online at their computer.

A Halfords employee posted elsewhere that the 2011 bikes won't be in the stores until January.

I have a Pro FS. Either of your choices with be excellent and which one is just down to personal choice. With good locks out, the FS won for me.

Friend of mine has the Boardman FS Comp (£900 full sus bike) and it really is great. Would highly recommend it for the money.

Yes, think the 2010 FS Team is the way to go. Can't risk running out of stock and then my voucher running out before the new 2011 stock comes in!

I picked up a boardman comp 2011 from halfrauds yesterday. A cock up on their part possibly as their warehouse sent a 2011 model instead of this years.

Sorry to jump on this thread, but s someone has details on the MTB, can anyone shed any light on what to expect on the carbon road bike front?

Are you sure?

I thought they were made in two different factories in the far east, none of which are owned by Merida. I think Giant might own one of them.

Merida stopped making bikes for halfords about 8 years ago.
Boardmans come out of 2 different factories,(check the rear stays of the alloy road bikes)Axman and Strongman, both are Vietnamese.
The carbon frames are produced by the same factory which produces the Giant carbon frames.
