S60 Track days?

I went to the Bruntingthorpe one last saturday morning. I only got the pack on the thursday before, so I wouldnt panic just yet
Its a really good, well organised day. No salesmen, and very little information about the car- you're there eto enjoy it, not buy it.
I didnt relaise beforehand they the drivers are all professional drivers, and are hired by the car company in question to do these sort of events. What a great job. How do you get into it?
(Oh, and yes: I would consider an S60 now. But not in Bronze, and not in **that** interior colour. Do I get a discount??)

Went to the York one today. What a great day! Events team were good, hospitality was top, and the people there was great.
The driving was a bit short, and there was no info on prices or anything. I mean I might want to buy this car, how much is it?! I also felt it was a bit of a let down for Volvo that the company doing the event (Fusion) were not really promoting the brand. They were like "you don't own a Volvo do you?". Ok I appreciate they may not love the brand, but really comments like that put a downer on what Volvo were trying to do and paying them to do.
My opinion is that I like the bronze colour and I like the car. The rear is not as nice as the gen 1 model and its not that big of a step up from the original S60, and FWD just doesn't cut it. Volvo really need to go back to RWD days or make most of the cars with AWD option. I also realised that my left knee got quite a pounding from that metal floating console which never happened during the S60R track days. The interior was hit and miss as welll - why the hell is there a vent with chrome surround in the dashboard, and then a black vent with no trim, and then two other vents on the left and right with chrome trim again. It was very mismatched and was like they were trying too hard to make it funky?
Nice car, but its antoher of Volvo's "almost, but not quite" jobs. I really don't understand why Jaguar make such good cars and Volvo can't. Both were owned by Ford, both use Ford platforms, seriously Volvo you need to do something about this or else you're a sinking ship.

I went to Dunsfold yesterday and had a great time. It actually made a refreshing change for such an event not to be top heavy with sales pitch, it really was a go for the fun event. The events team, in my opinion, did a great job, who cares if they didn`t love the brand, their job was to entertain and ensure that we had a good day, not to try and sell a car.
Highlight was without doubt being chased by a fully specced V70 pursuit car, driven by a professional, and getting away!!!
ps, The new S60 was actually not bad either.
