Essex to Bandol and back in 46 hours - 24.5 MPG and no aches
Discussion
Had to go to Bandol in the South of France on Wednesday AM at short notice for a family berevement but had to be back in work this morning so all in all, decided the best way was to take the GTS as I needed a car down there anyway.
Got to say that I did 1,650 miles in 46 hours and the car did not miss a beat, I did not get any aches or pains and I am 6'3" and the most impressive bit was a MPG of 24.5 MPG at an overall average speed of 76 MPH for all roads, including tolls etc and Toulon at rush hour on Wednesday. Actually I did Bandol back to the Chunnel yesterday with only one stop for petrol and a comfort break in 8h 45 mins.
Thought that i'd share this as I was most impressed with the way the car handled the journey and that you can get more the 400 miles from a tank of petrol as that's what I got before I stopped somewhere on the A5. A commensurate Grand Tourer of the highest order.
Just glad I decided on the Ipod connector when purchasing. French radio is pants ;-)
