Having successfully installed my new stereo headunit I now need to think about speakers.

Has anyone fitted any decent speakers into the existing holes in the door panels? They're gonna need to be fairly loud to hear anything over the exhaust!

Will also be looking at putting rear speakers in. There aren't any at present so I'll need to run some wiring in. Should be easy enough. Cutting the rear panel may be a bit nerve wracking though!

6" or 6.5" Infinity, MB Quart, Rockfor Fosgate, Helix Ti, Phoenix Gold. Good makes, the lot of them. I think that the majority of people fit 6 x 9 or 7 x 10s to the rear. But some people have sair this can make the sound muddy. Go for Full range if you are not planning to amp. If you are going to install an amp, use components, (mids and tweeters).

You will probably need to enlarge the holes in the door. I think I may do this next week, depending upon time I have. Going to take the stereo from my mini and put it in the Tiv.

Are you going to have any time to sleep down at your folks house....?

Too many jobs - Too little time...?

If you don't want to cut the rear bulkhead you could do the same as me - I made a speaker box that fits on the back shelf and wired it with a plug & socket arrangement.

To hold it in place I made it so that it fits round the back of the wheel arch.

My main reason to do this was I didn't want to cut the bulkhead and also as the boot space is tight anyway didn't want to reduce it even more by sticking speakers in it!.

Haven't go any pics, but if you want any I may be able to borrow a digi camera over the weekend and post on here.
