Right.

Dead simple- im going to re-live my youth through a tamiya RC car.

Which do i go for- there are loads of the damn things!!

If i plump for 2, which 2.

Im currently thinking one off road, one on road.

So, Midnight pumpkin, and ............................

I would love the old tyrell 6 wheeler if its still obtainable, or the lancia delta, or the porsche 959.

Any other suggestions.

And all of this as i had a grasshopper when i was young!!

I love the tyrell, just can't justify it as it wouldn't see any use:

Are you thinking of racing or just having fun?

You've got to love the Sand Scorcher, now re-released of course:

Midnight pumpkin?

Surely that's a typo and you actually meant Vanessas Lunchbox???

Then a hornet.
Or a bigwig
or a falcon
or any really, bloody great things

a lot of folk will say that other manufacturers make better, but for me, for the nostalgia, nothing comes close.

I would love another monster beetle, despite the gearbox troubles with mine however many years ago!

Very into my Tamiyas - for a start I would not bother getting 2 but go for an allrounder like the df-03ra. Its basically a buggy with rally car body, and they handle all terain briliantly.

Dont forget with any tamiya kit you will need to buy radio gear (they come with an electronic speed controller ESC and basic motor) and you will also need batteries and a good charger.

Also worth fitting sealed bearings during the build rather tahn using the kit supplied plastic bushings.

Get a LunchBox!

For on-road I would look at a TT-01 based car. Very basic shaft drive, but can be set up in any number of different ways, and loads of different bodies available for them.

I have been thinking about treating myself for a while to a new toy to build. Have had a few Tamiya RC toys in the past, and always end up going for a buggyy type thing. Started as a kid with The Fox and moved on from there.

Having just read your suggestion, I went off to Google and found this... Hmmm this could be a fun project !!

Comes on the df-03re chassis !!!

You can also get the Evo 5, 240Z and Lancia Delta Integrale as a rally kit smile
