I know Rubgy isn't popular on PH, and I'm hardly the biggest rugby fan, but this is sad news. I know people who were talking to him just last night.

Rivalry goes out the window in situations like this, and I hope Wigan go on to win the grand final next week in his memory.

RIP.

blimey, his failed test effectively finished his career and this was the result. RIP terry.

i can remember many fine performances in the cherry and white shirt and i'm sure he had more to give but for the route he took.

puts and interesting perspective on the grand final.

As a Rhinos fan but moreover a fan of rugby league this is sad.

He wasn't my favourate player due to his temperament at times but like a lot of ex leeds players he came back to haunt us on more than one occassion.

he was part of the new breed of hookers, mobile but big and he suited bradfords' game at their peak and Wigans'. I seem to recall he played well for GB but was in cunninghams' shadow of course...

sad news indeed.

Or it may be his wife left him, and he had already accepted he was wrong with drugs and was on panal to try rid them of the game.

Maybe read a little before posting rubbish.

He was a great player, a bit of a thug, but a great player.

He must have been in a very bad place. You have to feel for his family.

at least there would have been more full stops free for others to use.
