Thanks XG332 for choosing my picture as the September winner smile Here's a bit of cut 'n paste to start the October Challenge.

I've just been out to the shops and I'm soaked. This combined with the circumstances of my little adventure last month mean I have decided that a good topic for this month would be "Damn weather". And October is just the month for it!

•The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the 31st of October.
•The exif must be posted with your shot.
•Keep the images posted to a decent size please, 1024px wide max.
•I'll choose the winner this month (with the winner choosing the theme for next month, then deciding who should win that months)
•The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials

Oh right, you just go ahead and pick a topic for all the lucky gits with their weather-sealed 5Ds and their nice L glass, why don't you! Elitist! irked

At this rate, I reckon pretty much any shots I get of the Ilminster carnival tomorrow are likely to fit the bill! hehe

biggrin Yup, I think any shots I take at Rally Scotland in a couple of weeks time will fit too! My non-weather sealed IXUS took a battering there last year but it still worked once it dried out again...

Took this photo yesterday when up in St Andrews, on my mobile phone of all things!(HTC HD2).

Tweaked it with a HDr program and got the following.

Whilst I'm not going to enter (due to the picture being crap)- thought I'd show you the weather I had last night in the Sunshine State of Queensland.

The view from the hotel last night.
