Hi, my shower started leaking last night and sods law dictates that the place it came through the ceiling was directly above the TV!

It was only a small leak and I can't tell how much actually went into the set. It definitely got the control panel which is on the top, I have removed the panel and cleaned it up with alcohol.

I then switched it on and all seems to be working fine apart from a couple of control buttons on the panel which look like they were the most damaged by the water.

So my question is... if all is pretty much working fine and all seems dry inside should I breathe a sigh of relief or should I really be getting it checked out in case of further damage. If it fails in the future then its not the end of the world I am more thinking is there a chance of suddenly bursting into flames?!

Cheers

Andy

Leave it for a couple of days to ensure that it is fully dried out. Unplug it completely as most of the time electronics only die if they are powered up when the water hits them, or if you start them up before they are fully dried up.
