Daytona Replica
Discussion
Not a good subject to ask on here. You'll either get a five page essay from cyberface or get binned. But in summary for various technical and movement reasons the daytona cannot be reliably faked to give seconds at 6 o'clock. The fakes that do it are very unreliable and break easily. Waterproofing is a minor concern but could you ever trust what is told to you by a faker anyway? And at £600 you'd be well and truly ripped off, less that £200 for a good fake is more realistic. My advice is if you decide to do it anyway is go elsewhere and do lots of research into the types of fakes and the sellers involved, but board policy on here means I can't and won't offer any more advice than that.
No need to spend £600, pparently you can get a £50 Sekonda that looks like a Daytona but is much classier

You shouldn't pay anyhere near 600 for a fake.
If you are genuinely using the fake to see how you like the feel, before going out and buying a real one, then do not bother with a 7750 based fake (case is too thick, so it doesn't wear like a real one) or anything that has an auto movement that has been messed around with to get the seconds at 6 as it may break before you have formed an opinion...
Just buy one without chrono/ with the chrono locked out that is in a 1:1 case for well under 200 quid and wear it for a month. You will soon get used to it and see if you like it. You can then send the fake to Cyberface to be taken apart and the results posted up here, as to what was inside and how it worked
The other option is, as the others have said, the more legit 'copies' by Alpha or Sekonda and alike. However, as much as I don't like fakes, I do understand that before spending 5-10k on a watch, it is nice to get some everyday wear out of something that looks and feels virtually identical to be 'sure' about it.
