Ok now my car is finally back I contacted VX to fix (for the 5th time) the fast rear indicator issue.
Amazingly even though its past its warranty they have agreed to sort it out. I think the fact I had it logged with them at before the warranty finished helped.
Anyway I recall someone here said they also replaced the rear light unit and the controller. Does that person have the Holden TID for this? Just in case VX only want to change the controller again. Which obviously doesnt work seeing as they did that 5x before for no benefit.
That being said the lady at Motorbodies did say they had ordered a pile of stuff to put it right as someone else had a similar issue.
Another + for Motorbodies, they have been very good for warranty work.

Mine has just started doing this again. They replaced the controller last time & when I spoke to them about it this time they just ordered me the rear light unit. So if the garage is half decent they should just do the same.

Just awaiting for it to arrive now.

I thought cold weather had some bearing on this. Mine has done this once, in last winters snow. I'm sure other owners reported this

Pentagon Rochdale did mine. They had to jump through the VX hoops as usual. First it was a reprogram, them a new unit, neither cured it, so it was a replacement light cluster, which cured it. For now.

There was much merriment in the service department at the cost of £900 yikes

When was this? When I contacted Pentagon Rochdale last month they denied having the equipment to rectify electrical issues.

Maybe, though I like the LED HSV unit... when it works properly smile
Ultimately the holden unit may be the go.

Just after I bought it, about a year ago. Took three visits. First to reprogram the BCM, then to replace it. Neither of these worked, so they ordered a light cluster. It takes about 10 mins to fit and cured it straight away.

It's also booked in next week for the CD player looking at, as it hasn't worked properly for 12 months, and I don't really care as it drowns out that sweet V8, but thought I should really get it fixed. Nothing but praise for Pentagon Rochdale at the mo, even though their hands are probably tied to do as Vauxhall deems.

I've had this once on mine, probably last winter too. Maybe moisture on the electrics or dry joint? Worth pulling one to bits to inspect.

Bad design. Oz doesnt get as cold. Might alter resistance of the circuits etc.
Anyway as expected call came in recently modules didnt fix it, so new light units ordered and on the way. Not sure why they didnt do that 3 years ago when I first took it in for the problem. 5 visits later and finally got with the program.
But good on Motorbodies for sorting it out. Pick up monday all fixed is the plan. Kewl!

Well Im sure the HSV units are way less than £900 each as they are here. Still I think they might be £400 or so!
Which isnt nice.
On the other hand a Bentley GT headlight unit is £1800 IIRC.

Headlamp for an MV Agusta F4S is about £800 new, and it's less than 6" x 4" so I think the HSV rear lights are excellent value. hehe
