photo help.

when i right click a pic in xp and select edit and it loads up in paint, when i'v done what i need to and save it the thumbnail is still the original unedited pic.
how do i get it so the thumbnail is the edited one?

If I understand you correctly..

Not sure what version of paint you have but top left hand corner there will be either an icon with a downward facing triangular arrow, or it will simply say "file". Press one of those & in the drop down menu press "save as" then name your pic & press save.

If that's what you are already doing then possibly something is not working correctly.

also check you are using "save", and not "save as". if you are using the latter you are most likely saving to a different folder.

it does it if i save or save as.

when i right click and refresh thumbnail it changes but if i go out of the folder and back in its still the unedited pic in the thumbnail.

cashing of thumbnails has been turned off so there's no thumbs.db in the folder so i cant see why it keeps using the unedited pic as the thumb.
