I've just realised that pistonfest clashes with the wife's best friend's birthday. First thought - bu66er I'm going to miss it

Second thought - I can bring the Caterham, no one to complain it's too loud, too uncomfortable, too fast (as if) or too scary. And I save money on tickets and petrol

Sadly, with the wife not attending you'll probably end up drinking more.

A happy solution, maybe.....bring the Cat, and the missus. Park up next to the marquee with fellow PHer's, allow her ladyship to visit the market (right next door) or venture into Stratford via Taxi (approx £5), then lubricate the inside of yer throat along with the rest of us...... oh and there's also the attractions, if you make it out of the beer tent!

I had a similar problem last year, it was my old "best mate from school's" wedding.

In the end i thought, bugger it, I'm going to PistonFest, and came up with some lame excuse like "my GF's mum is in hospital"

Had a bloody great time.

It's more the trip up in the Cat that will be the problem, she's actually quite keen to come

I missed Saturday last year because of something I couldn't avoid, turning up on Sunday with the hangover from hell. For some reason I seemed to fit in very well

Thanks Daz for your words of (unnecessary) encouragement...
