Does anyone know if there is any way of upgrading the wired handsfree kit in the armrest to work off bluetooth?

It is a 2002 and has a nokia cradle in the armrest.

If not what recomendations are there for a bluetooth handsfree to work with iphone?

Yes, go into ebay (or similar) and type in 'Mercedes Bluetooth HFP'. I bought one for around £100 and it works fine with a Nokia slide... You could talk to your local friendly Merc dealer who will give you a model number for the bit you need and then you could look on ebay....

This one is shaped like a Nokia and the car thinks it is a Nokia so will work with pre 2004 cars.
