Hi Guys,

I am looking to input my DVD collection on to a central NAS complete with RAID and wondering what you guys recommend for use with a MAC?
I was originally looking at the Drobo, however some people have said its allot of money for not allot of return.
What like something easy to set up and reliable.

I use a readynas Pro for last couple of years on variety of client devices at home, including a Mac

the readynas Ultras are good with even more multi media features these days

Thanks Bogie.
I am weighing up between your one and the Drobo.
Tried looking on the net for some comparison sites however unable to find anything that compares a load.

PS. A fellow V8 owner!

I have a readynas nv and an nv+ in use. Work very smoothly. Use a mac mini connected to the tv as a media player.

Get a ups to protect whatever you get, and consider how you're going to store your collection carefully as it will make a difference to the space taken, what features you preserve etc and you don't want to go through ripping/converting twice (or more).
