Help needed please, aux battery SL55.

Has anyone here replaced OE battery (Varta A 230 541 0201 ...12volt 70a 760 Ah, the one in the boot) with an alternative . Looks like the original has been superseded but with what ? Vehicle is `03 AMG SL55.

Hi Mikial, I have just had a new battery fitted buy Merc, no;.A 004 541 86 01.

Thanks for the reply Mark, I assume that`s a Varta part number and in the SL600 ?

No it is Mercedes sticker and number, fitted 2 weeks ago at Merc Benz Stoke.

No it is Mercedes sticker and number, fitted 2 weeks ago at Merc Benz Stoke.

Thanks for the input mark, all sorted now. Battery is commonly known as "Type 096"
