Hi Folks smile

I am making a scale model of my 1966 Scimitar GT and I am nearing the painting stage.

It is going to be top-coated in a gunmetal colour (I have some of the correct top my car was painted in) What would you recommend for a primer/basecoat?? White or Grey?? And finally....who would you recommend of the online retailers??

Primer - Halfords acrylic. White if the final colour is red or yellow. Grey primer otherwise.

Scimitar GTC - would that be that be the Mikansue kit?

And, yes, I concur; Halfords grey primer for a gunmetal top coat.

Great! I look forward to seeing some pics; I have fond memories of the Mikansue ranges. Alas I only posess a Scimitar coupe shell, not the full kit. A close school friend`s dad sprinted and hill climbed a much modified coupe to great effect...my shell will one day be that car.
