Cycle insurance
Discussion
None are particularly good, they either don't pay out or have daft excesses.
My friends and I have started to use M&S home contents insurance. Only items of £4000 need to be declared and it insures for theft and accidental damage with no excess. Lots of people on bikeradar use them too and have very good reviews.

I pay about £30 extra a year on my home insurance for £3K, I have to name the bike as a specific item though.
Always check the small print on household policies, my friend was very disappointed when his bike got knicked and he thought it was covered, he found out cycles where exempt in the small print. Some policies insure 'personal items' up to £1k, his did but cycles were not included!
