They have fallen foul of the spelling of stationery.....Personally I think it embarrassing, the odd spelling mistake is fine, but when you sell the damn stuff....surely you should get it right!

So email them and let them know.....I think collectively they should get the point and change the site smile

I wouldn't worry about it. Mazda Baiter would have already sent them hundreds of e-mails pointing out there dramatic error.

Actually I sent them a very soft and informative email about 2 months ago.....and they are yet to do anything about it!

It shows up on the google searches so this is doing them a favour!

How so? Surely most of the population are educated enough to be able to spell words properly. The spelling police point out the 'tards who are making themselves look stupid and by ridiculing them they may start writing things properly!

Not heard of dyslexia then? I know of some incredibly gifted people who can't spell - but I wouldn't dream of pointing out to them that they had made a spelling mistake in an email they had sent to me. Most of them are much more intelligent than myself so what would I gain other than inner superiority. Same goes for the forums IMHO.

And who nominated you teacher?

However text speak is a different matter.......
Dyslexia doesn't usually present itself in the form of commonly transposed words though. It's an excuse lazy people make. Not taking anything away from folks who genuinely suffer from it though.

Hold on.....do you want to climb down from your righteous and dizzy heights?

I sent them an email over 2 months ago to say, do you realise that your website has the word stationery spelt wrongly? I explained that stationary is used to describe items at rest and they should change it to stationery.

Nothing has been changed! So I'm sorry but the fact they are remaining ignorant, as I personally would be mortified, leaves them open to ridicule!!

So if it doesn't suit you....send them a flower smile

I feel your 'whoosh' may be inappropriate in this particular instance.

Poor spelling in forums and emails is one thing, poor spelling on a professional website is retardation on another level.

I totally agree with you. I have an inability to spell....not as bad as some....I just struggle to picture words, so often get vexed on the correct spelling of the word. However I see this issue, so use the wonderful creation called a spell checker! Even on here I use ieSpell there really is no excuse! And although frustrating, where all else fails....use a different word smile
