Having done all the usual homely stuff today, the car is coming out now for a good blast round the local lanes..

Pops and bangs here we come..

Just thinking what is the best time or day for a run..?

Is it early or late?
weekday or weekend?

I hope all the sunday drivers are tucked up watching heartbeat for the night.

How about late at night?

Went to see a band on Friday night in Bordon, then left at about 11:30pm and had a great blast home through up through Worldham to Alton, then on to Hook via Odiham, down the B3349 towards Wellington Country Park, then cutting across to Eversley and through the back roads to home.

Didn't get stuck behind a single car the entire way except for one Clio going towards Eversley who slowed right down and then tried to speed up when I overtook him. He then decided to try and blind me to express his displeasure at the fact I'd passed him!

But what a fantastic trip back, with the exhaust howling and the hood down all the way!

late at night middle of summer is fantastic aside from pissing the neighbours right off. Whilst the mocking of the fast and the furious is usual on PH, the idea of a 2 - 3am meet in summer appeals to me. 4 am and naff all coppers. Only problem I can envisage is that it would be better to organise it via e-mail than on a public forum....

Thats a great idea shnozz! Perhaps we could get Red Bull to sponsor it!

shut up you tart. Just getting home around that time, albeit not in a fit state to drive

seriously though, its something that I shall be suggesting to the RO for mid summer. Along with a "bring your second car" meet at Goodwood - entry refused if you bring your "good" car.

havent managed to find one yet. Although an addition over the weekend was the RSPB sticker in the back window.

Hey, thats not fair. I don't have a second car. My V8S is my only car and daily drive. Still never let me down in five years and forty odd thousand miles - bet it won't start in the morning now I've said that

Oh I can see your going to be trouble! 3am meet?
I'd get nicked just for starting up the car. Unless you do a 3am meet in your second car.
