I have 2 email addresses for the office, the default account is a me@companyname.co.uk address and the other enquiries@companyname.co.uk. If I compose an email, it goes out under the default account. If I reply to an email though, Outlook Express has started sending replies under the companyname account so the recipient gets an email under the company name and not my personal name which I don't always want it to do or always remember to change it. I have been through all the rules, tools, options etc buttons and I can't see where this can be changed, or indeed why it changed in the first place. Any ideas please?

When i had 2 accounts in Outlook i'm sure there was a choice (drop down menu?), in the 'from' box. It used to get annoying so now i keep them separate and have 1 account auto forward to the other.

correct, in outlook express 6, when replying to a message just above the to: is a from: where you can select the account you want to send from

Agreed, but replies default to the company address and not my personal address which never used to be the case. That is the issue I can't find an answer to unless I am missing something brutally simple somewhere.

ah , sorry I need to read the posting better.
try under tools/acounts, select email tab, select the account you want to be the default and select the "set as default" button

or is this set up as you wanted it and its not working?

ETA:
if you reply to an email sent to enquires@companyname.co.uk the reply will be set to be from enquires@companyname.co.uk by default
You will have to change it manually if you want it to come from me@companyname.co.uk

Replying with enquires@companyname to email sent to enquiries@companyname is fine. The problem is that replies default to enquiries@companyname regardless of where the original email comes from.
