Its driving me insane, i miss my iphone!

Apart from niggeling issues the main one is the Android market isnt showing aps that i know are availible. Spotify and Sickipedia are two off the top of my head.

A friend as the same phone in the UK and can download them freely, i cant. How does my phone know i am in Germany? If i put my UK sim in will this trick it? or is it deeper? I have already done a factory reset today and when configuring the initial setup again it said verifying location. Was this over gps or sim ? Is that where it knows where i am?

Also, the market is showing in Euros even though i payed for app with a uk card?

Cany anyone help before the damn thing goes in ebay?

I would have thought the mobile mast you are connecting to will override any locale settings you enter.
Remember they will have different restrictions in other countries regarding what is licensed to sell.
