I am tempted by the English

Two eggs any style, smoked streaky bacon, treble pork sausage, smoked black pudding, field mushrooms, grilled tomato and breakfast potato
Basket of morning pastries or toast with butter and preserves
Tea or coffee £19.50

I went with the flow and just had a bacon and egg sandwich. Individual ciabatta stuffed with a mound of bacon and an egg on top. Would have preffered a choice of tea like an English Breakfast as opposed to an Earl Grey but I suppose the Yanks I was breakfasting with thought it quaint an English man drinking tea, they all had coffie.

Any particular thoughts on the place? I only ask as I have a number of clients I take to Bonds for lunch and they all seem to enjoy it and I was wondering what breakfast would be like there?

It was very nice, a little empty at breakfast time and they put the other diners close probably to create a bit an atmosphere. I and one of my hosts ordered a bacon sandwich which we had to wait for long after other had received their dishes.
Overall it was good and good food my colleage did have the English and it looked very good.

I would still have liked a breakfast tea rather than Earl Grey, but no choice.

I've done the set menu 3 course lunch for £20 three or so times, so fairly decent though not special (though I hold places to a pretty high standard). If lunch is from the a la carte menu I'd suggest you could get better value elsewhere. Service can drag at times as they're not particularly attentive.
