It seemed a shame that Stoke don't have their own thread....

I think the reason for this is because most people in Stoke don't have the internet yet

I think people are scared of Stoke City FC to be honest. They may not be the greatest team in the world, they may not have their pre-madonna stars but they're up there playing at the top level, & some weeks, if not every week, holding there own. Against Liverpool a few weeks ago was some of the best football ive seen at the Britannia in years. They could have beaten anyone that day. They maybe on MOTD last every week but apart from Mr. Lineaker, the others seem to give them the praise they deserve. Well done Mr. Pulis, you're bringing together a great squad. (Especially Matty Etherington. Used to be his gardener till he moved house)
As long as Stoke can hold on to key players theres no reason why in 12-18mths they cant be pushing for that elusive european place from the big 4 or 5 in the premier league. The atmosphere in the ground is electric amonst supporters & as for away games, i think home supporters wonder whats happening when stoke city arrive in town.

There is a glaringly obvious reason why not.

Hurrah! I'm a long time fan of Stoke (I'm from Kidsgrove originally).

They have been doing well and I'm a proud potter!

It's about time we had a clayhead thread!

What is the situation with parking nowadays at the Britannia?

When I've travelled with Blackpool in the past I've always parked on one of the big gravel car parks on the left as you go towards the stadium on Stanley Matthews Way. Are these still there and pay on the gate?

Hope I have a better journey than the other year where the M6 was blocked and the kick-off was delayed.

The Brits got superb Tarmaced carparks these days. You'll get onto them, but it'll take you days after the final whistle to get off them. Seems to take a lifetime to clear the car parks after the game. Police are more concerned about getting the away fans away from the ground & block the first exit away onto the A50 to get them away, forcing the majority of the traffic towards Trentham. Not good. Dont really think it was thought about when the ground was built. Theres since been built a pedestrian tunnel under the A50 slip road up towards Heron Cross but when 20k people decend on this one tunnel after the game its only asking for trouble.

Seems a bit harsh.
You have to say that Stoke have got some decent results already this season.

I don't think they've seen it to be honest, and nor has the OP, as there is an exsisting Officail stoke city thread in the football section HTH
