Wireless printer to Mac problems

Im trying to setup a wireless printer (Epson SX525WD) on a Macbook but am having problems. Im getting some sort of connection problem error when trying to print. both printer and mac are successfully connected to the wireless network and i can select the printer from a list when trying to print but it just doesnt print. it works fine when connected via usb.

Anyone had similar problems or have any suggestions of how to fix it?

Not enough info. We'll need the actual wording of the message to be able to help.

Also, did you set the Epson up whilst connected to the router. Although the instructions will no doubt say you can do this with a wireless connection, this has been known to cause problems.

I had a very similar sounding error with just a standard, wired HP Officejet.

It was set up to use (I think) IP printing and had been working, then stopped, giving an error that I can't exactly recall, but it was something to do with connectivity.

Irritatingly, the test page would print OK, but any document I printed didn't.

I deleted the printer and re-installed it using JetDirect and it's been fine since.
