I need to fit new plinths/kicker boards in my kitchen as the old ones had to be removed following a water leak. They were a permanent fixture and could not be removed without breaking them. The height under the units is neither uniform nor standard and the replacements will have to be fitted permanently or semi permanenntly while allowing access to the filter for the tumble drier and the ability to remove either the dishwasher or the washing machine without causing massive disruption. The plinths will also have to be straight ie. follow the lines of the units above and not wave in and out, so they will need to be fixed almost at the front edge and will require some form of flexible gasket between them and the floor which is tiled but not too level.

OK. I am being picky but the last two people - the original and the first replacement - who did this job were fking hopeless and I really do want perfection this time. While money is a consideration, I am quite happy to pay for a good job.

Any thoughts plaese for north Kent/south east London.

I know of someone but I don't have their details to hand. I'll search them out tomorrow.

Sorry I hadn't replied sooner. Do you still need a joiner/carpenter?
