now that i've recovered from the expense of the body off resto,i was thinking again of going down the carb route. the engine guy at the restorers where i got my welding done suggested a set of hollys (sp?) and side draught filters. this is tempting as it does away with all the dodgy electrics but if it is such a good idea i'm surprised not too many s's have had this done as it will also boost the power.can anyone help with opinions on this, seem to remember a thread about it once with pics
cheers

Is there room under the bonnet for these, I think you may need to cut a hole otherwise, aka old-tuscan style. It should look good even if you do.
