Am seriously thinking of getting rid of Sky as I am fed up of them putting the prices up and I am really starting to question the value I get out of it. Can anyone give me their opinion of Freesat HD and also any recommendations of a what HD + box to go for.

I'm a recent Freesat convert due to Freeview not having great signal in my location.

HD channels include BBC One HD, BBC HD (mixture of the BBC channels) and ITV 1 HD.

ITV have recently released ITV 2 HD on sky, but not Freesat. This comes as a surprise saying that Freesat was a joint venture between ITV and the BBC. Gives a feeling that ITV aren't as interested?

Anyway, I'm running through a Humax HD box and it's all good. Personally for me it was Freesat with it's one off payment vs. Sky with it's monthly costs. A no brainer for me personally as I'm not that much of a TV lover. There are a good few channels to be had, I think it comes down to the monthly cost issue with sky vs. free TV!?

2nd the Humax box. If youre feeling a little flush then have a look at the Panasonic BS780. Twin Freesat tuners plus Blu Ray recorder / player and a host of other features. One thing to bear in mind however, is that the Sky box allows you to pump pictures to other rooms via coax, whereas the Humax doesn't.

Can you not just use an RF Modulator from the scart socket, Or does the Humax disable the scarts if HDMI is in use?.
