Anyone watc this?

I love the 18th century atmosphere and use of English - although the love interest story is a bit soppy and detracts from the meat of the programme - which is the gradual evolution of proper court procedures and defence of defendants in English Law..

The last series was very enjoyable - this series looks as if it will be centered more on their relationship. I hope I am wrong as this will, as said, detract from the use of language and law of those fascinating times.

I watched the first series, didn't realise it was back. Will have to check my Radio Times later.

Tuned into this for the first time, it is okay. The love stuff should be left to one side, suppose it will have to do till Downton Abbey or Upstairs Downstairs returns...it's a lot better than LAckrise to wanklefordbiggrin

I also particularly enjoy Alun Armstrong in this period drama.

I think he may be in the league of Pete Postlethwaite and that is praise indeed.
