My asthmas is normally very well controlled and you simply wouldn't know I had asthma - the preventer keeps me well. Yet I had my first major attack yesterday and the GP has stuffed me on predsnisalone and sent me home with a spacer and an extra reliever so I have now two I can use in combination. (he did also whittle on about brittle asthma but I wasn't really paying that much attention as I was so relieved to have imprved hte situation - it took 10 puffs through a spacer of ventolin and 3 of atrovent on top of taking ventolin all morning).
Now my chest feels really sore today - is that normal? I sing in a choir and couldn't really sing at all today. And I feel seriously wiped out

I feel like I've been kicked in the chest when I have an attack, think its basically a straining of the lung/chest muscles as you fight for air. Normally round my ribs and up under my arm pits but has been known to radiate round the back if its a bad one. Eases of then dissappears after a few days.
