Will smart phone work with standard sim card??

Hi, I am looking for a new phone, but I purchased up front for life sim years ago, so I just need the phone. Will my old sim work on a smart phone, I realise it may not be as fast as a 3g card, but I am not sure if it will work at all. I could get the internet on my old (now broken) phone. Thanks.

I'm not sure, I'm using my iPhone with my old sim card if that's any help? I suppose as long as the phone can be unlocked to use that sim card it should work?

Stick your sim card in one of your mates phone.

"Lose" your sim card and ask for a new one!

Why would he need a new card?

Your old sim would work fine afaic
