Anyone got one? Are they OK or all is it all a bit wobbly and blancmange like?

What options are must-have? Can you expect much off list price?

Cheers,

FT.

Good cars. just like the A5 coupe to drive. Which model/engine do you want and when?

Definitely quattro, and S-tronic. I was looking at the 3.0 TDI, or 2.0 TFSI and leaning towards the diesel, but not totally decided on spec. When: pretty much now. Are delivery times long?

FT.

I've driven an A5 3.0TDi coupe and was seriously impressed (was an SE). It's cross-country ability was very good in my opinion. If it were me I'd be speccing a decent sized wheel - not 'blingy' but just enough to fill the arches more than some of the standard wheels look as though they do.

Good to know, thanks. Yeah, 17s look a bit small. 18s then?

Cheers,

S5 would be a bit thirsty for us, I think.

Speak to DrG in the VW Audi Skoda forum, he should be able to point you in the right direction regarding spec.

I read somewhere that transverse engined audis are haldex, longitudinal are permie.

Might be BS though.

I'm slow to the thread!

I did indeed have an S5 cab; popped almost 10,000 miles on it over the summer and absolutely loved the car. It's very big is one comment worth noting but beautifully comfortable to drive; great ride (not bad even on the 20" alloys I had), all of the creature comforts you need, and even the back is big enough for 2 big guys for a 15hr each way trip across Europe.

I'd expect at least 8-9% off list price, especially ordering at this time of year (that's what I got this time last year), and I certainly wouldn't buy a car without the nav system which really just brings everything together inside.

If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to fire away!

Get 19s, get the 3.0 TDI, Get S-Tronic, Get quattro sport diff if you're a keen driver, B&O, HDD Nav and anything else you fancy.

Really lovely cars and very stiff as convertibles go. Shmee's in Sepang on the 20s was a seriously good looking car.
