Hi

Is there anybody on here that goes to the Northants TVRCC meets ?

I only ever went once, in the winter'ish and wasnt so keen on spending all evening in the pub & no time to look at any cars. I also dont get much free time to make the meets.

However i'd like to try again if someone can tell me there different .... and where they are as they change about this time of year dont they ?

cheers
Giles (Towcester)

I keep meaning to go, but my car has been off the road for ages. I thought that the winter meets were on Sunday lunch time and summer ones Thursday evenings, probably to ensure that there is some light to look at the cars as you suggested.

I go to the summer ones. In winter, they clash with East Midlands, so I go to that.

Dunno what you mean about them being 'different', but if it's a guide, then I'm not really the sort of person who goes to a meet and sits round a table with the ladies talking about handbags. There's some really knowledgeable chaps go to Northants, and unless it's horrid outside, I'll be stood outside talking/listening to them trying to soak up some of what they know (or taking the pee out of people, depending on the mood)

There are two villages due south of the place to which you refer, both were by-passed when MK was built (A509). I live in the more southerly one. There is at least one more TVR in the village.

This is beginning to sound like one of those treasure hunt games.

I try to get along to it most months, but its much better in summer when we can socialise in the car park instead of being stuck inside.
