No tinfoil hat required. It is pretty much accepted that half the governments on the planet want to either catch or kill that guy. It is getting to the point where they aren't even going to bother being clandestine about it.

They have rescinded the offer now.

Looks like he got to powerful.

What was that about protecting freedom?

he goes to another country and meets women who he sleeps with and then they complain later.
classic tactics.

This thread will probably be closed because of the one in the news section but, he won't be poloniumed, it's not worth it, too obvious and it'd be too much for the public to accept. I might go on a limb again and suggest "sex crime" allegations are a smear campaign attempt, but what do I know smile

He's just the messenger, those that are leaking the info are the ones committing the real crimes, even if his convictions are misguided. Someone else will take up the slack if, or perhaps especially if, Wikileaks is forcibly closed. I imagine it will be soon.

Short of closing down the Internet you can't stop people disseminating information in such a fashion anymore, for better or for worse.

Cotton, do you think I'll fall for that old chestnut? It'd be mere minutes before the photo was shopped onto:
A 335d
That bloke / his missus (red car)
Wheeliegirl
That bloke with the lambo
scott bloody alexander
that bloke in the denim shorts
that bloke who is holding a pink knob for some reason
your mums torso
The first 7 I can deal with, but the 8th is just too much...

I think they need to be careful about making a martyr out of him, which if you like conspiracy theories explains the sex smears.
