Last week I took the car to a garage that has access to a track and we swopped springs around and tested it on track until we found the perfect setup for my car, its now compliant and comfy on the road and well controlled on track smile

of cause while we were messing around with the shocks we had to re-setup the ride heights and check the corner weight's and now with 40Litres of fuel its a solid 100kgs lighter than when I started putting it on a diet smile

cars now a genuine 700bhp per tonne

Come on, Andy - You know you want to find those other 33kg (even though that's basically the fuel weight).

Under the metric tonne, dry, is very, very impressive though biggrin

well my other wheels and tyres are close to 10kgs lighter, and I have a few alloy panels under the car to replace with carbon.... Im also making my own design of seats for the GTT and they will be going in the noble as well.

But in truth I also have a little weight to add, like around 2kgs for new carpet over the tunnel, so the only realistic way to get under a tonne is to weigh the car with only 10litres of fuel in lol

Plan is to drive the car a lot more and get on some track days smile

Simply stunning, thanks for taking the time to keep this updated. Just read start to finish and incredibly impressed by the skill applied and developed, great job. Love the carbon look!

That is just amazing- where did you start to learn to make a carbon body kit?

I wouldn't even know where to begin to start to learn.....

Sorry hadn't spotted your question, I was doing some mods to a spare rear clam I had and as such started to research making moulds etc etc... I then spotted people making moulds from materials that were good enough to make carbon parts from and I then focused my research on that, bought materials, watched some online videos and started making parts.

The material suppliers did think I was totally mad going straight into making a full rear end, but I tend to not do things by half... I enjoy a challenge smile

So following lemans I decided to get the car health checked on the dyno and maybe squeeze a few extra ponies from the car... Had my friend and tuning guru Sam at torque developments do the mapping and we might have squeezed a few extra ponies out of the car so it's now 'solidly' over 700bhp and 600ftlb.
It's now 100% a 700bhp per tonne machine :-)

I also decided to activate the traction control and full throttle gear changes, had a few gremlins with the wheel sensors so the traction control isn't yet usable but the full throttle shifts are awsome.

Did a track day on the silverstone GP circuit a few weeks back and took some front and rear footage then I combined it with the telemetry from my ecu and posted a little one lap video using the rear camera.

Good lord, that car is a beast. Have you got any figures for it such as 0-60 and 0-100? I know it's kind of irrelevant in day to day driving but it would be interesting to know.

it is a beast for sure, but its a very controllable beast and dare I say, easy to drive smile

Not got any proper performance figures, but I do have accurate ecu data logging and while testing the launch control and traction control on a cold but dry night I did do a launch but it wasn't set up right and I had a huge amount of wheelspin up to around 50mph.... I checked the telemetry and it had achieved a 3.4s 0-60... so imo its sub 3 seconds to 60mph for sure.
On track my telemetry shows on one straight I did 60-141mph in 5.8 seconds, stick the 2 bits of data together and you 0-141mph in 9.2seconds.... given that the 1200bhp veyron supersport was independently timed as 0-150mph in 10.1 seconds and the new P1 is 0-147.5mph in 10.2seconds... so even with a poor 0-60 it seems I'm pretty much a match smile

Of cause this is all unofficial with me stringing together 2 bits of logged data so very back of fag packet...... but what I can say is I once took part in my Ultima in Autocars 0-100-0 challenge against zonda etc etc (2002) and I did an officially tested 0-100 in around 7.4 seconds (faster than the zonda) and my noble is much much faster than my ultima was smile

I might have missed this but how do you go about lining up the weave of two sheets of carbon fibre? I.e. Across a wide panel like the bonnet?

The weave is lined up when I lay the cloth in the mould.

I bought a software that allows me to put a video in a video so I managed to cobble the front and rear go pro footage then overlay the ecu telemetry.

Jesus, that's fast. Really fast. That's about superbike speeds, which is mental. Thanks for the reply smile

I had noticed there was a few pictures in the article of my car...

brakes were not glowing, thats simply the sun shining on them....

I literally finished putting the car together 10 mins before leaving for this track day... Id remade the entire tub so was a major strip down right to the bear Chassis and car hadn't turned a wheel in 5 mths before leaving so I had teething issues lol... I only got 3 very slow laps with no throttle.

At least I made it though, many (including my wife) thought I had absolutely no chance lol

Just came across this thread. What can I say. Awesome car. Amazing fabrication skills. Totally in awe mate. Well done.

I bet it is truly something else to drive.
