December Challenge - Available Light
Discussion
In this month of limited daylight, low sun and seemingly endless darkness, it can be a problem to find enough light to get the shots you are after. For the challenge this month, I'd like to see people making best use of the 'available light'. This can mean everything from daylight, moonlight, reflected light street light, firelight etc. The only stipulation is that you may not use an electronic photography light source - so no flash guns, lighting heads etc. Feel free to use reflectors, long exposure and other imaginative ways of getting light onto that sensor.
Just to get the creative juices flowing, I have made a quick flickr gallery with some examples I like.
That is all!
And a reminder of the rules:
•The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the 31st of December.
•The exif must be posted with your shot.
•Keep the images posted to a decent size please, 1024px wide max.
•I'll choose the winner this month (with the winner choosing the theme for next month, then deciding who should win that months)
•The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials
